Onward Travel co-founder Kat is extremely excited to explore The Czech Republic and Austria with a group of Onward Travelers in May of 2026.
Kat is lucky enough to have lived in Prague from 2017-2021, and when she was younger she was an exchange student in Austria during her junior year of high school. This itinerary is a synthesis of some of her favorite places she has visited on personal travels. In addition to the wonderful royal city of Prague along with day trips to Pilsen and Český Krumlov, the itinerary includes two nights in the stunningly scenic region of the Danube River Valley known as Wachau. Kat discovered this region thanks to her wine-loving Austrian friends with whom she traveled there during her Prague years and ever since she has been so eager to return to this heaven-on-earth destination with a travel group.
Late spring in Central Europe is magnificent, with cafe culture in full swing, parks bursting with happy citizens, lush greenery and blooming flowers, and scenic cobblestone streets beckoning you to stroll upon them in the lovely weather. We’re going to spend four nights enjoying the good life in Prague, that elegant and cool capital which has been a seat of European political and intellectual life for many many centuries, before we journey south through Bohemia to Austria and along the Danube River until our week finally concludes in vibrant Vienna.
